Skirball Cultural Center: Another Promised Land- Anita Brenner’s Mexico

The Skirball Cultural Center presents “Another Promised Land: Anita Brenner’s Mexico” through February 25th, 2018. The exhibit offers a new perspective on the art and visual culture of Mexico and its relationship to the United States as seen through the life and work of writer Anita Brenner. Brenner was an integral part of the circle of Mexican modernists in the 1920s and played an important role in promoting and translating Mexican art, culture, and history for audiences in the United States. The Skirball’s exhibition will provide an immersive experience of historic discovery and highlight Brenner’s importance as a Jewish woman in Mexico who was instrumental in introducing the North American public to Mexican history and culture. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is honored to work with the Skirball Cultural Center to create and install City Light Pole Banners for the exhibit throughout Los Angeles.

Annenberg Space for Photography: Cuba Is

The Annenberg Space for Photography presents “Cuba Is”, a photography exhibit that highlights aspects of Cuba not easily accessed by foreigners and sometimes even Cubans themselves. The exhibit offers new insights into Cuba’s realities of divergent politics and communication and commerce limitations. “Cuba Is” includes archival images and work done by five featured photographers: Elliott Erwitt, Leysis Quesada, Raúl Cañibano, Tria Giovan, and Michael Dweck. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is honored to work with the Annenberg Space for Photography to produce and install City Light Pole Banners for the “Cuba Is” exhibit.

LA Opera: Candide

Kelsey Grammer and Christine Ebersole star in LA Opera’s “Candide” playing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion January 27th-February 18th. Leonard Bernstein takes audiences on a whirlwind tour of human folly and foolishness. Brimming with innocence, “Candide” is certain that he lives in the best of all possible worlds. However, an unrelenting series of ridiculously unfortunate events makes him question everything he has been taught. LA Opera’s company celebrates the centenary of composer Leonard Bernstein, whose brilliant score features the exuberant overture, “Glitter and Be Gay” and “Make Our Garden Grow”. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is honored to work with the LA Opera to produce and install numerous City Light Pole Banners for the “Candide” production.

Los Angeles Philharmonic: 2017/18 Season

This winter, the Los Angeles Philharmonic celebrates its 99th season with an emphasis on the ‘Our City Our Sound’ theme. Like the city they call home, the Los Angeles Philharmonic is constantly evolving, expanding, and breaking the barriers to unify us through music. This season features an array of music from a diverse group of musicians. Season highlights include CDMX Music from Mexico City, Performances of Mozart’s works from 1791, a series focusing on composer Salonen, and music by Leonard Bernstein. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is honored to work with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to create and install hundreds of eye-catching City Light Pole Banners for the winter season.

Natural History Museum: Tattoo

The Natural History Museum presents “Tattoo”, an exhibit that explores the history, technique, and motivation connected to one another by ink. The exhibit features more than 200 images and objects ranging from historical artifacts to intricate contemporary designs, each telling the story of the unique and diverse art. The “Tattoo” exhibit also has features specific to the rich tattoo cultures of Southern California, from Ventura to Orange County. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is pleased to work with the Natural History Museum to create and install hundreds of eye-catching City Light Pole Banners for the “Tattoo” exhibit.

MOCA: Anna Maria Maiolino

MOCA is pleased to present “Anna Maria Maiolino”, the Brazilian artist’s first major U.S. museum retrospective. The large-scale survey covers Maiolino’s works from the early 1960s to the present, bringing together prints, sculptures, films and performances, and drawings. “Anna Maria Maiolino” is part of the Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative hosted by art institutions across Southern California exploring Latino and Latin American Art in the City of Los Angeles. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is excited to work with MOCA to advertise the “Anna Maria Maiolino” exhibit on City Light Pole Banners throughout Los Angeles. Descanso Gardens: Enchanted Forest of Light

Descanso Gardens lights up the night in the “Enchanted Forest of Light”, an interactive nighttime experience unlike anything else in Los Angeles. Enjoy a one-mile walk through 10 distinct lighting displays in some of the most beautiful areas of Descanso Gardens. Some of the colorful displays are also interactive and allow visitors to be a part of the colorful nighttime light display. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA created and installed light pole banners in the garden’s visitor center and parking lot.
