Skirball Cultural Center: Another Promised Land- Anita Brenner’s Mexico

The Skirball Cultural Center presents “Another Promised Land: Anita Brenner’s Mexico” through February 25th, 2018. The exhibit offers a new perspective on the art and visual culture of Mexico and its relationship to the United States as seen through the life and work of writer Anita Brenner. Brenner was an integral part of the circle of Mexican modernists in the 1920s and played an important role in promoting and translating Mexican art, culture, and history for audiences in the United States. The Skirball’s exhibition will provide an immersive experience of historic discovery and highlight Brenner’s importance as a Jewish woman in Mexico who was instrumental in introducing the North American public to Mexican history and culture. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is honored to work with the Skirball Cultural Center to create and install City Light Pole Banners for the exhibit throughout Los Angeles.
