This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the UCLA Extension program. GRAMMY Museum: Monterey International Pop Festival
The GRAMMY Museum in collaboration with Lou Adler, co-founder of the Monterey International Pop Festival, present Monterey International Pop Festival: Music, Love, and Flowers, 1967. The exhibit explores how music became the counterculture’s most significant cultural expression in 1967. On display through October 22, 2017, the exhibit will feature artifacts from the private collection of the Monterey International Pop Festival Foundation, Lou Adler, and items from various artists who performed at the festival. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is proud to work with the GRAMMY Museum to produce and install light pole banners to spread the word about the Monterey Pop exhibit throughout Los Angeles.
Center Theatre Group: The Curious Incident
The Center Theatre Group presents “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”, at the Ahmanson Theatre August 2-September 10, 2017. The National Theatre production and Tony award winning play follows 15-year-old Christopher who is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to handle everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to find the true culprit and makes a discovery that will change his life forever. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is proud to work with the Center Theatre Group to produce and install these captivating banners for the “Curious Incident” production.
Petersen Museum: Seeing Red: 70 Years of Ferrari
Vroom, vroom! GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is excited to work with the Petersen Museum to promote the “The High Art of Riding Low” and “Seeing Red: 70 Years of Ferrari” exhibits this summer. “The Art of Riding Low: Ranflas, Corazon E Inspiracion” examines the diversity and complexity of lowrider cars through various artist’s paintings, sculptures, and site specific installations. “Seeing Red: 70 years of Ferrari” celebrates the 70th anniversary of one of the most recognizable Italian automobile manufactures. Visit the Petersen Museum before these exhibits “roll out” early next year.

No one can tame Carmen who bursts into life on the stage with an intoxicating whirl of choreography, orchestrations, and heart stopping drama. 2017 U.S. Amateur
The 2017 U.S. Amateur will take place at the Rivera and Bel-Air Country Clubs August 14-20, 2017. The U.S. Golf Association’s oldest golf championship has had an illustrious history of great champions including Bob Jones, Phil Michelson, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Tiger Woods. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA created and installed City Light Pole Banners to promote the prestigious golf event.
Hammer Museum: Marisa Merz
The Hammer Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art have partnered on an exhibit of the works by Italian painter, sculptor, and instillation artist Marisa Merz. This is the first retrospective exhibition of the artist’s work in the United States and brings together five decades of work. From her early experiments with non-traditional art materials to her mid-and late-career installations-the exhibit will explore the extraordinary talent and inspiration of the artist’s understudied body of work. GOLD METROPOLTAN MEDIA created and installed City Light Pole Banners to spread the word about the event throughout Los Angeles.
Sundance Institute: Next Fest 2017
The Sundance Institute’s Next Fest 2017 comes to the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in downtown L.A. August 10-13, 2017. This can’t-miss event is full of movies, music, and summer fun. Straight from the film festival in Park City Utah, the films make their L.A. debuts. Each film will be paired with special music performances or a conversation with filmmakers. Annenberg Space for Photography: Generation Wealth
The Annenberg Space for Photography presents “Generation Wealth” by Lauren Greenfield on display until August 13, 2017. The exhibit examines the influence of material comfort over the last 25 years, specifically illustrating the globalization of materialism, celebrity culture and social status. The collection also explores the aspirational gap between what we want and what we can afford and the pervasive desire for more.
