GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA celebrates LACMA’s 50th Anniversary by providing city light pole banners across Los Angeles. In just 50 years, LACMA has established itself as a world-class museum with one of the strongest encyclopedic collections in the world. 50 FOR 50: GIFTS ON THE OCCASION OF LACMA’S ANNIVERSARY will be the first presentation of a selection of highlights from the recent, historic bequest of A. Jerrold Perenchio, a collection of masterpieces from the 19th and 20th centuries by artists including Edgar Degas, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, and others. Spanning centuries and cultures, the exhibition features gifts from more than 25 generous donors. Masterpieces on view include works by Claude Monet, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, and Andy Warhol as well as art from Africa and decorative arts.
