Hammer Museum: Black Mountain College

The Hammer Museum presents “Leap Before You Look Back: Black Mountain College 1933-1957” the first museum exhibit in the U.S. to examine the history of Black Mountain College. Black Mountain College, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, was a renowned experimental college that placed the arts at the center of a liberal arts education in an effort to educate citizens in a democratic Great Depression era. The exhibition at the Hammer displays various art mediums including paintings, sculpture, weaving and pottery of students who attended Black Mountain College. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is thrilled to work with the Hammer Museum to bring awareness of the Black Mountain College exhibit to Los Angeles through a creative banner program. Be sure to see these beautiful banners that line Wilshire Blvd. and other highly traveled Los Angeles streets before the banner program ends and the exhibit at the Hammer Museum closes!
