LACMA: Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters

The LACMA presents “Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters” from August 1st-November 27th. The exhibit explores the imaginative works of filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, famous for such films as Hellboy, Pacific Rim, and Pan’s Labyrinth. Taking inspiration from Del Toro’s imagination, the exhibit reveals the filmmaker’s creative process through paintings, drawings, and concept film art displayed thematically throughout the museum. The GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA team produced and installed City Light Pole Banners to spread the word about this exciting exhibit at the LACMA.

Natural History Museum: Butterfly Pavilion

The Natural History Museum features the new Butterfly Pavilion this fall. The Butterfly Pavilion, located just outside of the museum, features more flight space, resting spots, and natural light. Gallery Interpreters also explain why the over 30 butterfly species are so special. LA Opera: Macbeth

Shakespeare’s classic thriller, Macbeth, comes to the Los Angeles Opera. Blinded by ambition and spurred by his power-hungry wife, Macbeth commits multiple murders to attain and keep the throne of Scotland. The talented cast brings a powerhouse performance of electrifying vocals and propulsive energy. Natural History Museum: Pterosaurs

Jurassic Park fans and Dinosaur lovers alike are flocking to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum this summer to see the museum’s new exhibit. The “Pterosaurs” exhibit explores the diversity of the prehistoric kings of air during the era of dinosaurs. The exhibit features hands-on interactive apps, rare fossils, life-size Pterosaurs models, and a virtual flight lab that allows visitors to pilot their own Pterosaurs. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is excited to work with the Natural History Museum to spread the word on high-flying banners above city streets.

Center Theatre Group: A View From the Bridge

Center Theatre Group presents “A View From the Bridge” playing at the Ahmanson Theatre from September 7th-October 16th. Arthur Miller’s tale of a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece, and his jealousy for her love for another, will leave audiences in awe. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is excited to work with the Center Theatre Group to create and install City Light Pole Banners to advertise the production of “A View From the Bridge”.

LACMA: Reigning Men

The LACMA presents “Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear, 1715-2015” an exhibit that explores the history of men’s fashionable dress from the eighteenth century to the present. The exhibit also makes connections between history and fashion, traces cultural influences on style, and examines elements of the uniform’s impact on fashion. With over 200 men’s looks, the exhibit gives museum visitors an enlightening outlook on the history of men’s fashion. California Science Center: A Beautiful Planet 3D

The California Science Center is now showing “A Beautiful Planet 3D”. “A Beautiful Planet 3D” is a breathtaking portrait of Earth from space, providing audiences with a unique perspective and increased understanding of our planet and galaxy. Made in cooperation with NASA, the film features magnificent views of our fascinating planet captured by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. “A Beautiful Planet 3D” not only provides audiences with an awe inspiring look at the Earth but, also educates viewers of the challenges we face and a look into the future of humanity. Los Angeles Philharmonic: A Chorus Line

The LA Philharmonic presents “A Chorus Line” at the Hollywood Bowl from July 29-31, 2016. The classic production of “A Chorus Line” features an unforgettable score and riveting real-life story of a dancer auditioning for a Broadway musical. From “I Hope I Get It” to “The Music and the Mirror” combined with the iconic choreography of Michael Bennett, “A Chorus Line’s” music and message remain fresh and true capturing the excitement and drama that all performers face. Music Center: American Ballet Theatre

American Ballet Theatre (ABT) returns to the Music Center for a special program choreographed entirely by resident ABT artist, Alexi Ratmansky from July 7-10, 2016. The program will feature a collection of three performances, including Ratmansky’s Firebird, Symphony #9, and the premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade after Plato’s Symposium. All performances will be accompanied by a live orchestra. GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA proud to work with the Music Center to produce and install these brightly colored banners lining city streets. Center Theatre Group: Grey Gardens

GOLD METROPOLITAN MEDIA is proud to continue its long-standing relationship with Center Theatre Group to produce and install hundreds of City Light Pole Banners throughout some of LA’s most traveled areas for the summer production of “Grey Gardens-The Musical”. Starring Rachel York and Betty Buckley, “Grey Gardens-The Musical” recounts Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ most eccentric relatives’ fall from society darlings to notorious recluses in their crumbling East Hampton estate. Time Magazine’s number one Broadway musical of 2006, “Grey Gardens-The Musical” playing at the Ahmanson July 6-August 14, 2016 is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
